Kaden's School Concert

I was mad I took the wrong camera and couldn't

get any good pictures. Oh well, he did really

good anyways!

Kayleigh's Dance Pictures

Kayleigh had her first dance recital Dec. 5 and she did a great job!

She had a fever that night but still went on stage, made sure she stayed

on her star, did her dance, and walked on and off just like she was taught....

She was the youngest dancer up there and she sure made me proud!

We finally got some pictures done of the kids.

Misc. Pictures

We've been doing a lot this summer but I've been

bad about taking pictures so I haven't posted

anything in awhile. These are just a few I've pulled

starting from the beginning of the summer through

just this week....

They're braver than I am!

Our library was having their summer reading kickoff
party and this is some of the things they had there.
(sorry the pics aren't so good, I had to use my cell)

The girl's face in the background is pretty good...

There were hissing cockroaches in this one and

ended up being Kayleigh's favorite. I couldn't

keep her away from them and then she cried

when we left.

That's Brant saying, "I want to hold it"! He

loved the snakes and even grabbed the head

of one and tried to kiss it before I could stop him.

You could hear everyone around us gasp.

He couldn't keep his hands off the scorpion either...

They were all safe for kids to touch but I was

having a heart attack anyways.

Kindergarten Graduation

Darrel thinks the whole idea of a Kindergarten Graduation
is silly (I don't think that's the word he used) but I couldn't
help but getting teary-eyed quite a few times! I think
it's cause you only have your firstborn go to Kindergarten once.
He'll be in college before we know it!

Tiny Dancer

So, I'm teaching dance again and this is the
cutest tiny dancer by far!

Wish we could've been there....

So, Darrel is a HUGE X-Men fan, especially Wolverine, so he's been pretty excited about the movie coming out. I mostly just wanted to go to the premiere! I'm one of those that loves to be out and about being wild and crazy (not in a bad way of course!) with the crowds and having fun. So we're watching the premiere stuff on the news and I'm yelling at Darrel "WHY AREN'T WE THERE!" and he's yelling back "BECAUSE WE HAVE KIDS!". So then I have to get out of my fantasy world and remember that being home with my family was probably more important...right?!?!?!

On the way home...

This was on the way home last night. It was
dark enough that we had no idea that she even had
the makeup and what she was doing with it. The other
side of her face was almost worse. I'm just so
glad that I put her in one of Brant's shirts
before we left instead of leaving her in her dress!

Easter

They're all making funny faces 'cause it was so

bright outside, but they still look cute!

I was just noticing that this picture makes his
eyes look a totally different color than what
they really are.

David Copperfield

Last Sat. me and Darrel went with my parents to see David Copperfield. He definitely doesn't look like that picture up there anymore but I thought it was pretty funny so I had to use it.
The show was really good! We sat on the 5th row so we were nice and close, my dad got to go on stage, and then we ended up being just a few feet from Muhammad Ali. Big thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Skousen for watching the kiddos!

Happy late Valentine's Day everyone!

My "flower arrangement" that Darrel made me...It was extra
sweet of him because he stayed up late making it after he had
been up since 3:30 that morning AND he was sick. Thanks again!!

never lets me do her hair and I finally got in some pigtails.


I know the part is all crooked but I was not going
for perfection by any means, just trying to actually
do her hair!

Happy Birthday!

The picture isn't very good but this is a tie made out of
duct tape that says "Happy Birthday" on it. I made him
wear it to church since his b-day was on Sunday.
